I have had two experiences now with Zhen Reflections spa and I will not use their services again. The first experience was when a friend booked services for a group of 8 of us a few days prior to the services. When I arrived I was told that there was no staff available to service our group. The manager and owner then proceeded to blame us for not confirming the appointments even though my friend, who is a former spa owner herself, insists that she did. After a lengthy discussion she was able to locate staff to accommodate some of the group, but no apology was made. I decided to give them a second chance because the facility is beautiful and staff itself was very good. I made appointments for 10 people for a bachelorette party for a friend's daughter over a month in advance. I was called by the owner10 days prior to the appointments and asked for a credit card to guarantee all of the appointments or they would be cancelled. I explained that this was a bachelorette party, invitation had been sent, we were not going to not show up. Also, I did not personally know all the girls coming and did not want to guarantee their services with my credit card. I asked if even one person did not make it for some reason if we would still be charged and she said yes. She actually said that if someone was truly sick she would not charge but if they were just hung over from drinking she would. I have had many spa appointments over the years and have never been asked for a credit card prior to the appointment. It is extremely unfortunate that such a beautiful facility is owned by someone who has no business in the service industry.
