I would not call this a typical salon or spa. There is no receptionist or anyone there to assist you when you arrive as all the stylists are independent. I found many (not all) of the stylists dress very unprofessionally, many looked down right sloppy(this is not what I expected after visiting the salons webpage where the stylists all looked lovely) When I arrived no one greeted me at all. I was a new client and had no idea who my stylist was( I knew her name not what she looked like). Finally I asked a lady where I could find my stylist, she pointed me to her booth. I had to wait over 45 MINUTES to get my hair done---as my stylist was running very late. I could not imagine my stylist appreciating it if I were 40 minutes late to my appointment. I am busy like most people these days and did not have an additional 45 minutes to spare for a color and cut. Once I finally got upstairs to my chair the young stylist was rushed as she already had others showing up for appointments. She proceeded to coat my face and collar with hair color. My hair cut was very sloppy. She had a slew of phone calls coming in as I was sitting in her chair and I believe cared more about her wedding plans and scheduling other appointments then finishing the task at hand, my hair. I understand people have off days but for me I will no doubt never ever visit Ashley?s Ally again. This is not a premiere salon in any regard. I know some stylists must be very good as the salon has been around for a long time but the atmosphere and the staff are highly unprofessional. At least at other salons there is a scheduler for the stylists and clients so that you can expect to have your hair cut and colored at your appointed time. I have waited a long time to post this review and have since visited Pia and Steve's---go there--- my cut and color was perfect as was the stylist---he actually cared about what i wanted and took his time with me!
