I agree that it was not the warmest salon I visited while shopping for a bridal gown but Mary Ellen is great to work with and after visiting 4 other shops in the area this was deifintely the closest experience to a NYC shop selection and service wise without the NYC prices and tax. Yes, when I walked in for my appointment (first one of the day) the greeeting I received from the front staff was a cold stare and ""is the back door open?"" so they definitely could use some etiquette and service lessons - can I get you some water, what can I do to help make this process easier, take a little more time to understand your needs and likes, etc. would serve the salon well and not cost them anything, BUT I am a busy girl and this is a task I need to complete and they were the most helpful and best value and selection which helped me narrow down my choices. I am not sensitive about the polite factor as long as I get the quality product and service I need. The only downside is they do not let you browse - they bring the dresses to you but all my other appointments were almost exactly an hour and I tried on maybe 6 gowns the most. With Mary Ellen, I tried on probably 10-12 gowns and she spent 2 hours with me and picked gowns that were on the mark. I would definitely give Bridal Garden a try if you're in the market for a bridal gown
