This is my first time using City Search. My fiance and I moved to Washington State in 2006 and we had a lot of trouble finding a good chinese restaurant. While in Kent, one day, we happened to be on Meeker Street and saw a sign for this little chinese bistro called China Star. So we decided to check it out. Were we ever impressed. The food tastes great. The tempora breading they use on their entrees is awesome. I always like my chinese food to be crispy so I am always completely satisfied when we go there. The temperature of the food is excellent. The atmosphere is quiet and romantic and not too bright and not too dark. Last time we went to China Star... I decided I didn't want soda or tea... or any alcoholic beverages to drink so I ordered Chocolate milk instead. They didn't really have chocolate milk... per say... but they improvised and brought me chocolate milk made with Nesquick chocolate powder (which is what I prefer anyway). I was impressed at how the staff does all they can to meet, and exceed, their customers' needs. And they have a bar there if you would like a cocktail while you dine. We don't get made to sit at the bar either... we can have our cocktails served at our table. The booths, as well as the chair seats, are really comfortable as they are cushioned for extra comfort. The price we pay for our meals is always reasonable. and, since restroom cleanliness is always a big concern for any customer, no matter where we are, I gotta tell you... the restrooms at China Star are always very clean and well kept. We were there for the Chinese New Year and we each got the little red tickets. I got one that gave me a 20% discount off of a purchase of $20 or more. My fiance got a ticket for free egg rolls. Since we didn't get to use them before the expiration dates... the ladies there told us they would still honor them if we brought them in after the expiration date. WOW... now THAT'S GREAT SERVICE. This is why we give them 5 stars. Great Job !!
Pros: Everything about the place is just fabulous
Cons: I wonder if they could put t.v.'s in the main dining area.
