We had the opposite experience and would highly recommend this restaurant. They couldn't have been friendlier to our group of 8 during spring break. The kids loved the soda fountain sodas and the burgers were huge (my 15-year-old couldn't finish it). And the tomoto-basil soup was delicious. In fact, when I asked if they gave out the recipe, our server very kindly declined, but said she'd pass along our compliment to the person whose recipe it is. It has chunks of tomotoes, a little bacon and croutons. Very tasty. Our only downside was they couldn't split the check. Don't go expecting a fast burger (there's plenty of fast food joints in Galveston if all you want to do is eat and run), but it was a fun, casual place to sip sodas and have conversation with friends.
Pros: Fun atmosphere
Cons: Line at the ladies' room
