I am a former employee of Humanistic Foster Family Agency. The owner and administrator, Brenda Rees, has problems paying her clients as well as her employees. I started working there in August of 2007. My very first paycheck bounced! This caused me severe financial hardship because I was counting on this check to pay bills. When I went in to work the next day, Brenda did not offer any kind of an apology, simply wrote me a new check. I had my husband come to my work, pick it up and take it directly to Wells Fargo to cash it. Turns out, they wouldn't cash it unless we had an account, so we had to go through the trouble of opening an account just to cash my paychecks.
Pros: Majority of the staff are decent people.
Cons: Brenda Rees does not want to pay people.
