I stopped in Uptown Coffee this morning carrying a heavy package in my hands. When I walked up to the counter there was one customer being waited on who was joined by two friends the moment I stepped up behind her. After the first customer was dispatched the fella behind the counter waited for the two friends to run back to the counter which they have left to look at the pastries. All the while another employee stood with his back to we four customer while he washed dishes. When the first friend ordered a mucho grande whatever I walked out. The fella behind the counter knows me from my coming into the coffee shop everyday and knows I do not order any special drinks that take time. He could have asked the other two ladies to wait (they were going to sit down and eat and drink there) or better yet, he could have told his co-worker to turn around and wait on people!! I had had this experience before. Plus, they don't seem to care to continually keep things in stock, lemon, bread etc. Being a frequent customer does not mean anything there.
