Low-quality food, great view, medium service. 2/17/2008

My experience at this restaurant was mixed. On one hand, during the beginning, the service was excellent. Lots of smiles and friendly greetings. The view was beautiful as well. But, upon eating our supposed ""sumptuous"" steaks, we quickly learned that we had mistaken a good view for culinary quality. We ordered the Steak Frite, which is a Bourbon style steak with carmalized onions on top. Now, I have had good or medium quality Bourbon style steaks as well as premium quality ones in restaurants throughout the U.S. But, this was far lower quality steak than I expected. There were no carmelized onions, the sauce was watery, and the medium well steak was more like the consistency of a well-done piece of meat from your local grocer. The two steaks were drastically different in texture and size; thus, we knew that consistency was a problem at this restaurant. The steaks were also served above room temperature, or tepid, as if they had been sitting while the fries were cooked. If you're looking for a good view and low-tier restaurant food, then this is the place for you. After asking the waitress to mitigate the offering of this half-eaten steak, she brought the chef and manager to explain to us why this was such an outstanding steak. In all truth (because this is probably the worst customer service I ever received at a restaurant), the chef and manager humiliated us in front of the other patrons - causing us to leave in utter frustration. Call it random, but I hope this never happens to other customers. To seal the deal, as we left, they gave us snide smiles and uttered in overt sarcasm, ""have a nice day."" This restaurant ruined our day. Pros: Great view Cons: Poor quality food more
