This is a `locals? spot. Located in the Ocean View Plaza at Golden Lantern and del Avion in Dana Point. It?s small and lacks the old world ambiance of a Tuscan or Amalfi Coast trattoria, but you won?t be disappointed in the food. Cooked in the southern Italy style with a nice variety of selections plus a list of off menu ?Specials? that the locals have come to love so much, it rarely changes.
My favorite is the Spinach Fettuccine Al Salmone. The `Grande? portions are HUGE so consider a ` Piccolo? or splitting (+$2). You can substitute most any pasta on any offering and ask for extra sauce or a different sauce altogether on most plates. Try the soup instead of the house salad and a side of marinara for the bread.
A few tables have an ocean/sunset view. We prefer the patio as it can get a bit noisy inside.
Notice the line of folks at the register picking up their take-outs? You know it?s got to be a local?s favorite.
