I had been taking my boxer to Canby Veterinary Clinic for two years. The heartworm medication I had been buying from the clinic was just too expensive. I was able to find the same brand at an on-line pet pharmacy at a considerable discount. Dr. Pugsley had to write a prescription for Sentinal Heartworm Tablets, which he did for a $10 charge. However, he refused to allow his receptionist to fax it to the pharmacy's toll-free number. I had to pick up the prescription and fax it myself. That level of service is completely unacceptable. This clinic has to stay competitive if it intends to sell the medications it prescribes.
