My mother and her sister (who is deaf) took in their cat Elvis to be euthanised due to kidney failure about 5 hours ago. Upon arriving at the poorly maintained office, the head veterinarian portrayed no sympathy towards my aunt and mother. \r

The head veterinarian's age and bitterness was prevalent in the way he ran his office in particularly raising his voice and using foul language in front of my mother about their requests. The assistant showed no better qualities after being bitten by another cat and swearing at the top of his lungs words like ""god damn cat,"" and ""stupid cat,"" in the presence of its owner.\r

The head vet also broke the euthanising needle inside the cat and showed a lack of professionalism by proclaiming, ""Oh sh*t, I wonder if he got any..."" After this he proceeded to poke the cat in the eye to see if he had died. These tactics may be acceptable ways to end the life of a cat, but anyone who knows what putting an animal down is like knows that's not the environment anyone should be put in.\r

I strongly discourage anybody to support this veterinary office. His emotional distatchment to the animal brought my mother home in tears. She hasn't had a drink of alcohol in over 5 years and she poured herself a glass of wine when she got home. This sensitive operation should not bring my family back in tears, and I will speak up for them by saying I hope this vet doens't have the power to do this to anybody else ever again.
