Spectacular food, great atmosphere 12/19/2008

Wildflower is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the Denver metro area. The cafe is housed in what looks to have been perhaps the first floor of an old house or shop, with two main rooms. I am continually amazed at how many people they manage to squeeze in there. The staff seem to be mostly local high school kids who are incredibly friendly and the food is awesome. Get the wild potatoes -- you won't regret it. They're potato chip sized and coated in garlic, parmesan cheese, and overall goodness. The omelettes are huge and tasty, the skillets are belly busters, and they have a lot of vegetarian options. Oh and while you're waiting for your food, sneak next door for some apple fritter bites from the bakery. This is a great little place to head to after a long hike in the local foothills; that way, you are hungry enough to order double! Pros: food, service, value, coziness Cons: it's a little tight in the dining room, but that just lends to the ambience more
