I've visited the Sunset many times for both lunch and dinner throughout the past 25 years. I must respond to the negative previous comment that this operation cares about ""color"". I am an African American and have yet to feel anything but well treated there from my very first visit. The staff recognizes and remembers repeat customers. My spouse accompanies me at times and is treated the same. I've also visited with several members of my company for lunch and received nothing but positive feedback. Many have found their way back to the restaurant after their first visit because of satisfaction. The Sunset's cream of crab soup is second to none, especially with the sherry that accompanies it. If you like pickled beets as I do, you cannot find any at any restaurant to have anything that comes close. Their seafood platters are awesome. The shrimp salad served in a tomato is fabulous with large sized shrimp. My native to Southern MD relatives have frequented this restaurant for many years (when I was a child) and come a great distance (from below Annapolis) just because of the great food and service. I hope the Sunset continues to be that great restaurant that I have always experienced.
