My husband and I moved here 18 months ago. We had been trying to have our 2nd baby for almost 3 yrs. Our son was turning 6 and now praying for a sibling himself. I felt we had been patient and exhausted all of our resources (ovul pred. kits, etc) Being new to Tulsa, I asked around for ob/gyn recommendations. Being told that I would just ""love Dr. Nilson"", I made an appt. I dread the yearly rolling around mostly due to my bad case of modesty and I was not looking forward to this appt. Once Dr Nilson listened to us, he began to aggressively identify our issues. Finding that we had a pretty significant problem, he wasted no time in laying out our options before us. We were confident that he was not wasting our time, our money or trampling our emotions. In fact, he kept our hopes high and my insane level of nervousness and modesty at a more than tolerable level. He's positive ALL THE TIME, not admitting defeat or letting you feel defeated until he's sure of the result. He's absolutely hilarious, but so real and easy to talk things over with. He honestly makes you feel that you're 1 of 10 patients instead of 1 of 1000's. Stevie and Hailey are fantastic. They're sweet, knowledgeable and kind. You feel like your sister's in the room! I'm not sure I've ever been in another environment where they worked so hard to make you feel cared for. Dr. Nilson immediately gains your trust and it only builds after that. My journey is not over. I am not sure of our next step. I do know that if I ever get to hear the words, ""you are going to have a baby"" again, I only want to hear them from Dr. Nilson himself! He is an amazing doctor whom I would recommend no matter what your ob/gyn needs. I also don't get the hubbub about wait times, I have never experienced an extended wait. (but who cares if you do, if you want the best, sometimes you have to wait for it!) I know that I was in the best of hands each time I walked into that office!
Pros: Friendly staff and environment, Quality of care, Trust of Doctor
