I just came back from Velvet Roses and my roomie said it is the best my hair has looked in years. While I am pretty indecisive about my hair (always looking for some dream hairdresser to tell me what will look amazing on me) owner/hairstylist Malinda listened to my garbled ideas and gave me a perfect blond that really looks like the color I had when I was a little girl! I got a trim and the blowout was free. The highlights are extremely natural (not chunky, not streaky, not frosted white) and she does not have the desire to push products which is very unusual, right?! I told her how my hair becomes brassy and orange very quickly and she gave me a simple but trusty ""blue"" wash that I only have to use like once every three weeks, I actually wanted to buy it because it just made sense, so I did. Did I mention how affordable, ridiculously friendly and comfortable the place is? Plus her mom totally washes you hair thoroughly and makes you want to go to sleep. I actually wish I could have tipped her more...for realz.
