I've eaten at Sailing Boat many times and I know the owner, George. He's super-friendly and seems to take great pride in his restaurant. It shows in the quality of the food. When I say it's excellent for a smaller town, I mean just that. I've lived in NYC, The SF Bay Area, and Portland, Or. and I've eaten in some really great Chinese restaurants. It's not that the food at Sailing boat is of lessor quality or that they don't know how to cook as well. It's just that it's not quite as hard-core as I prefer it to be. I've never been to China or Hong Kong so it's possible that I have some misconceptions about what real Chinese food is supposed to be like. But I would prefer to see some more exotic dishes on the menu or more exotic ingredients. But this doesn't change the fact that the dishes on the menu there that I've eaten taste fantastic. I'd just like to see more and more different. I'd guess that the reason the menu is more main stream is because in a smaller town there are
more
