I took my cat here for her 1st visit on a Friday about two weeks ago for an exam, vaccine updates & grooming. I dropped her off early in the morning & returned to pick her up that afternoon. When I arrived, I was told she was dehydrated, that they were concerned about her kidneys & that she was too stressed & aggressive, so they would have to sedate her in order to do the grooming. Since they're only there partial days on Saturday, closed on Sunday & wanted one full week day to monitor her due to the dehydration, etc & wanted to run bl00d work to determine the extent of her health problems, I agreed to leave her there until Tuesday. The vet called me that morning to inform me that my cat essentially had some kind of virus, nothing serious. I returned to pick her up on Tuesday evening, to find that I'd been charged over $600!!! They had run tests on her that they had never even mentioned to me, like FIV. They sent me home with 2 medications, an antibiotic & an immune system stimulant. When I called the next day to discuss the charges with them, the woman I dealt with was completely rude & unprofessional. I was so upset about being treated that way, I had a family member call in. That family member was given a completely different story about the health concerns. I decided that if there were more serious health issues I'd move forward with the health care. I took her in today for a follow-up appointment: exam & bl00d draw to be sure the meds are helping improve her health. They put a muzzle on her & because she struggled when they tried drawing the bl00d, they said they couldn't do it. Of course she struggled, she's a CAT!!! They want me to bring her in on Monday, leave her there so they can get the bl00d by pricking the cat's foot pad (apparently ""really time consuming""? Whatever!). Due to my work schedule this is impossible. I had an appointment today to get bl00d work done. What kind of vet can't get bl00d from a cat? I paid the $55 bill today & left in tears.
Pros: Cute, friendly cats hanging out in the lobby
Cons: Everything else!
