I originally went to the Florida Eye Clinic due to an emergency. In an attempt to be seen quickly, I had made several phone calls to other eye clinics in my area. Florida Eye Clinic was very understanding of my dilemma. My initial contact with Florida Eye Clinic was met with concern and empathy. Although never seen in the office before, they told me to come in right away. Dr. Mahootchi examined me and determined that I had shingles in my eye and immediately began treatment. While being treated for shingles a cataract developed, which is not uncommon. Dr. Mahootchi recommended cataract surgery. I was given the option of a Crystalens, which I chose.\r

The moment I had cataract surgery and the implantation of the Crystalens my eyesight was improved drastically! I no longer have to wear glasses. My vision is now 20/20.\r
