Breakfast as it ought to be - go for a walk in the Japanese Gardens afterwards. 9/8/2007

We just took another couple with us to breakfast here, and we had been once before. The breakfast menu is wonderful, and the omelets etc are elegant. The potato slices are wonderfully browned and not to salty. I like to eat food when I am out that I cannot easily make at home, so the big choice of carefully prepared foods is great. The coffee is excellent. And the toast is a real treat with about 6 different choices of bread.\r \r From inside you can see out to a lovely little park on the North side with a beautiful huge horse-chestnut tree, and another block up is a Japanese garden put in by Kent's sister city in Japan, and a little more linear park after that up to the King County library. After we eat we always go for a stroll through the gardens up to the end of the park. Everyone enjoyed seeing train go by. \r They do have a few tables outside on the sidewalk also.\r \r Our friends really enjoyed this breakfast out and we plan to arrange to meet up there again in the future.\r \r I do wish they would do something better with the acoustics, as it does get loud when the place gets filled up. Pros: Lovely breakfast menu. Park and gardens visible out window. Cons: Loud when busy. more
