I am Argentine and have been living in NYC for over 10 years. There have been a few restaurants worth visiting here and there (ie, Pampa, Novecento) but not much option. I went to BUENOS AIRES a few weeks ago for the first time on a sunday and it was AMAZING. As a true Argentine I consider myself a strict judge of beef and this was perfect. They have all the authentic Argentine menu items they should have: empanadas, ensalada rusa, milanesa a caballo, panqueques de dulce de leche... they even have Duraznos En Almibar Con Crema... which brought me back to childhood! And... I love the fact that they only serve ""Quilmes"". They have an extensive wine list with some amazing malbecs. The staff is more than accommodating and the venue is cozy and fun. Its extra fun if you go when there is an argentine soccer game on.... VAMOS-VAMOS ARGENTINA!!!!!
