Back in my high school days when 5th Avenue was a restaurant wasteland I used to go to Cucina with my family. Entering the space where Cucina used to be and where Tempo is now always sets me on a nostalgia trip. That is, until the utterly delightful food, service and ambience makes me fully appreciate the present. I've been to Tempo several times, and it just keeps getting better and better. Last night I had a delighful meal starting with a prosciutto melon salad, then moving onto a roast chicken with a divine sauce combining a melange of Meditteranean flavors, and finishing up with a citrus infused olive oil cake. Each course was exquisitely executed with a perfect balance of flavors. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive. Overall, I perfect night out.
