I have been going to this salon for three years now and nothing compares to the highlights Sel does! He also does amazing styles for special occasions ? if Sel isn?t there, Barish does great work as well. The ladies who wash your hair are so friendly. They do everything they can to make sure you are done in a timely manner. \r

One thing I don't get at Friends is a haircut. Several people I know go there for it and it looks great, but they tend to get scissor-happy. I have long hair and intend on keeping it that way (and they like to layer a lot even though I have fine hair!). Regardless, it is one of the best places to go in Astoria. Reasonably priced, friendly staff and right near the Ditmars Blvd train stop. I am definitely going to Friends for my wedding hair!
