I went to this restaurant to celebrate a business deal that I had made on a Saturday recently. I arrived at 7:45. There were several tables and a whole room that had not been opened yet. The maitre d tried to seat me at the kitchen door. I am a single professional business woman. This is a mistake that maitre d's often do with single women. I have traveled the world and this was one of my poorer experiences in a long time. We are in the year 2007 and this waiter is still back in the 50s. I sat up front at a great table after I refused the kitchen table. It was a half hour before I finally got my drink and bread and butter. Right after I sat down, a group of six,t hree couples, came in and were seated next to me. They got immediate attention, drinks and bread and butter. I had to ask over three times to get mine. Each time I had to find a wait person and each time it was a different person. As for the meal, it too was a disaster. I ordered veal piccata and it arrived gray, overdone, and in a matching gray gelatinous sauce with no flavor. The vegetables were not cooked and were very pedestrian. The pasta was tricolored, undercooked, and skimpy. I ordered the chocolate cake hoping it would salvage a losing meal. It matched in terms of mediocrity. It was hard, tasteless, and so dense that it was hard to chew. The only redeeming part of the meal was the bread and butter which was late as I mentioned. Throughout the meal I had over 5 different servers with no concern to please or follow up. It was a very expensive mistake. I will tell everyone I meet not to go there and waste their time and money. it is a greatly overrated place. I found nothing to recommend. Buyer beware.
