Do not eat here; it is as simple as that. They actually served my wife an un-opened mussel as part of her meal. For those that don't know that means it was dead when it was cooked and that is not good (bad things happen inside dead shellfish!!!). Of course they cooked her meal again, however, by that time my meal was cold and not very good either. To add insult to injury rather than taking the time to understand the issue and offering to make us happy customers some guy in a suit (I assume he thought we should know he was some type of manager, but since he did not bother to say he could have been the head bus boy or valet parker) and gave us coupons for a free dessert or drink the next time we come. I was flabbergasted, whatever happened to quality in service! BTW... I tore up the coupons as I will never go back or refer anyone to that particular Il Fornaio. Please do not hold this review against other Il Fornaio's as I was recently had a meal that was well over $1000 at the Il Fornaio Manhattan Beach, CA and it was very good. Also before I forget this was not the only problem of the night... just the top of the list.
