Since I've lived in Nolita over the last 8 years, the Spring Lounge has changed drastically.\r
\r
It used to be one of the low key pubs to meet some of the locals in the neighborhood. After 9-11 a lot of things changed, I think much of the contrived financial crowd figured out that nothing within a 10 block radius is over 6 stories. Also, the weak dollar has contributed to a lot of wealthier foreign residents. \r

There are still some survivors of the money broom that sterilized the area. If you go on a idle Sunday night, Tues, and Weds you'll have a much friendlier paced evening. \r
\r
The weekends used to air out at 2AM. No more, you'll be getting shoved by contrived college students trying to fit their bill on mom and dad's credit card. They do have their uses, they can actually undersand the new juke box, an itune influenced monstrosity. \r
\r
But even if you can't hang with the late night creatures, it's still the best 4-6PM pub. Their palette of taps is well tailored and arguably the best in Manhattan.
