I have been going to Petrillo's in San Gabriel since 1991 and have always been a raving fan. Within the last 6 months I gone to Petrillo's about 4 times and everytime it has been an unfavorable experience. The hostess' are very rude and unaccommodating. The service staff seem to be overwhelmed and overworked. On my last visit, my party of 4 had to wait 20 minutes to be seated when there were 4 tables visibly unoccupied. When I asked the hostess who was flipping through a gossip magazine why we could sit at one of the open tables she said in a very cold, unapologetic manner ""because the servers are too busy to attend to you"". In light of all of this the pizza is great, the best pizza around. I do hope that Petrillo's gets enough complaints that they will turn this all around and they can be my favorate pizza eatery again.
