last night we had gone to Cut Restaurant to celebrate my 40th Birthday. We were 30 minutes late so they had said they had released our table. I made the reservation because I saw the picture of the place in LA Times Restaurant edition and thought what a nice way to dine with a beautifully designed space and good food. Well we were seated next to the elevator totally shut off from the rest of the space. You might as well be seated outside. Was that table there by accident? I was embarrased to have my friends drove all the way from Orange County just to either stare at an elevator, part view of the kitchen
