TALENT AND SERVICE DOES NOT SUPPORT THE PREMIUM COST...HAD TO SIGN SERVICE CONTRACT! 7/24/2007

I found this salon by looking at Best of Boston winners, I wanted the best colorist in town. The salon was nice and clean and came across as service oriented but on the flip side I was presented with a strange contract explaining that if I was not happy with my service that I understood that I could not ask for my money back. My hair color was mediocre and took forever. My cut was mediocre as well. In the end, they had already TOLD me when my next appt was without asking my availability, the receptionist had a full line of Bumble & Bumble products ready to upsell to me and I was then charged $250 for a cut and color, NO BLOWDRY. I asked what the breakout was and she said $155 for the color and $95 for a cut, I questioned it by asking why the cut was so expensive(without blowdry) and she then changed the price to $75 with no explanation. I am not cheap and will pay a premium for a service or a product that I feel is quality but I felt like I fell for a scam in the end. This salon is a bottom line salon, using every sales tactic from service every 6 weeks, upselling products/services and signing a contract...this salon is not up to par with other salons that charge these types of prices. Pros: New salon, minimalist decor Cons: Overpriced, hard selling more
