Always blessed with slow metabolism, weight fluctuation has always been a problem for me. I really got a wake up call when my doc recently told me that I have borderline diabetes and put me on medication. I was told that if I don't lose some weight and eat better, it would be a matter of time before I am on insulin. I found Valens program online and having just finished the 10 week program, it has just been a wonderful experience. Working with dietitian Karla, she has taught me how to reevaluate my eating habits and choices. I had been caught in a vicious cycle of feeling lousy, overeating, not going out, overeating more, and feeling even more miserable. Losing weight with Valens has been like learning to ride a bike, as I really enjoyed the weekly physician health lectures and support group meetings to help me keep the weight off for the long run.
