Glicks used to be a place you could get personal service and advice, today it is staffed by rude, uneducated women who don't know one cut of meat from another. I'm not being sexist, maybe there are rude uneducated men in the back, but the front staff the last 2 times I've been there has been exclusively women. I asked for veal or beef bones for stockmaking.... I was offered ham hocks, a lamb shank and finally veal shanks that were covered in permafrost. They were rude and offended when I didn't want to spend $15/lb for osso bucco to make stock! They also didn't know the difference in flanken style or english style short ribs. Very disappointing because they used to be so good.
