My husband and I have been searching high and low for a new vet for our cat. We thought that a all cat clinic would be wonderful - and then we went there. We came in for specific reasons (our kitty has a history of cancer and needs regular check ups), and the first thing we were told was that she needs her teeth cleaned. Then we were told to give her all of her shots over again (which had been done about 4 months prior), to test her for feline leukemia, get the FIV vaccine, and microchip her in case she gets lost. I tried very hard to explain to the vet that our cat is strictly indoor, that she never comes in contact with other animals, let alone other cats, and that she doesn't even like the thought of being outside. She is 13 years old and has never attempted to run away - why does she need a microchip or an FIV vaccine, or any of the rest of it? She doesn't. \r

They were pushy, and so clearly trying to sell things to us. \r

No thanks. Our cat is our much loved companion - not money in the bank for a vet.
