I've been to Argentina, and this place doesn't compare. The food is just not as good as what I've had, from the papas fritas to the sweetbreads. The steak was fine, but this is not the kind of place you go to instead of Morton's. Service is lackluster - apparently one of the qualities from Argentina they got right. In addition, the waiter was hitting on my friend, and he's not gay or anything resembling that; either way, it's unprofessional. \r

Note to others: Just because someone speaks Spanish doesn't mean it's authentic. I realize it's hard for NYers to discern even though they're on some open-minded trip, so don't fall for the charm. Argentina is a vibrant country that's unique, and no amount of Mexicans (why isn't there good Mex food in NYC anyway?) will make up for authenticity.....with apologies to the fine Mexicans out there, as I know they tend not to get along with Argentineans.
Pros: Chimichurri; a different take on the usual fare
Cons: Service; aggressive waiter; a great facade to fake out NYers
