I knew I was in trouble when I happened to look up at the ceiling and there seemed to be dust bunnys all over the rafters. It was disgusting to look at. Now, lets talk about the concept of a bistro. Bistros are supposed to be faster than a restaurant. Apres Diem definitely avoids any association with the word fast. In this case, I think that bistro is an attempt to say that Apres Diem is some kind of French or European dining experience. However, when I looked at the menu I found precious little that would give me that impression. Several sandwiches, a handful of typical appetizers, and standard breakfast fare says nothing European to me. I ended up ordering one of the specials which was a Belgian Waffle with Scrambled Eggs and Sausage. The Waffle came out with the Eggs on top of the Waffle. I guess this was some type of attempt at creativity but it made it gross. The Waffle itself was hard in places except the soggy areas where the eggs were laying. I have had much better waffles out of my toaster oven. All of the components of the meal were stale and seemed to have been laying around in the back since first thing that morning. Lastly, the service was absolutely pathetic. I mean, I am really sorry that we inconvenienced our waitress by coming in that day. I will make sure it never happens again.
Cons: Dirty, Slow, Bad Food
