2005 was the first year I went to an accounting office to get help with my taxes, and therefore I went to Ravi Tax as they were highly ranked by most web search results. It?s a family run (husband-wife) business, and after working with them I was left with a really bad impression. First they do not have a customer service demeanor to succeed in this business; they are all about the number of people they can squeeze in a limited amount of time. Unlike Good Tax assistance where they work with their customers to understand the specific situation their client is in, these guys just ask you quick questions, and enter it into their software and charge you a quick buck. In my case I had to explain to them how my case was different, therefore the tax had to be filed as another income source (helps keep tax low) after which he agreed to file it accordingly. But I was left wondering that shouldn?t it have been him who should have given me that advice instead of me explaining it to him???
