Another foodie introduced me to Fogo de Chao and with a large appetite for beef, I ventured out on my own for lunch. To go for the first time, the lunch hour is the best (not open on weekends), because it is not too crowded and the cost is half (at around $26). I found that not only the meat was of amazing quality, but the staff made the restaurant experience absolutely wonderful. I eat only rare and it seemed that every gaucho knew that before coming to see me. I'm fairly particular about food and the meat was perfectly rare on one side, yet I had all off the flavors on the other side...the best of both worlds.
Pros: best service in philly, amazing food, great place for a date
Cons: can be pricey so at least try it at lunch
