Since we live nearby, we've tried to give this place a chance but it seems to disappoint every time. Yes, the garlic rolls are great, and so is the cheesebread at Sizzler but you're not aching to wait in line for an hour to eat there, are you? Average Italian food (never bad but never great) and the much-ballyhooed breakfast/brunch is often cold upon arrival and salty -- also mediocre -- the cafeteria/assembly line feel of the place isn't for me. The location is great but there are just too many better, fun and romantic options in the Venice/Santa Monica/Culver City area to ever make this a regular "must-eat" destination.
Pros: Location, garlic rolls
Cons: Average food, Factory-like service
