Back in 1980 I went to see Dr. Eckhardt. She was the first councelor I'd ever been to. I was in an abusive relationship and also suffering from the effects of an abusive childhood. Dr. Eckhardt helped me to see what was important and helped me to realize what I really needed to work on. She was wise and compassionate and a wonderful councelor. I wish I could thank her personally for the help she gave me when I was only 19 years old.
