After a lengthy phone conversation which revolved mainly around the high cost of these treatments, I relented and decided to pay thousands in the hope that this treatment would alleviate my symptoms which were book perfect on the symptom list provided by the Institute.\r
When I arrived in the posh offices a very nice allergist started testing me. I am hypersensitive to most stuff and the testing was done so fast that it did not even give me time to properly think about the response. After abut 5 tests she told me I had some allergies and to give me a break she called in the physicina who by the way was NOT Dr. Roby. He does not take Blue Cross so you see someone else!\r
This arrogant man walks in and when he found out I was already taking hormone supplementation he said to me that there was nothing they could do for me. He came to this scientific solution after talking to me for 3 minutes. He talked to me, I did not get a chance to say one complete sentence as he kept interrupting in obvious and complete disinterest. He told me there was nothing they could do for me and left. The nurse that did the allergy testing was obvioulsy tremendously embarrassed but nothing she could do. I was in schock and after coming home I called and asked to speak to Dr. Roby whom I never even saw. Even now they did not have the courtesy to let me speak to him but rather someone else talked to me who says that they have to go woth what the physician recommends. I reminded them that a Dr. takes a Hippocratic oath to help patients and not to dismiss them when they are maybe not a slam dunk case. And as far as my finances..............well that was not really of their concern I told them. Also who has ever heard of a DR who dismisses a patient who is in chronic pain and tells them ""I cannot help you"" Is it not his responsability to try to find a solution to alleviate someone's distress? It is indeed dubious behavior at the very least, and for thousands of $$ you are better off at a spa!
