I would have expected better food and service after walking through the front door as it does look quite nice. We were dinner for two at 7:30 ish. To drink I had a peach italian soda, which was flavoured carbonated water topped with whipped cream from a can. The menu was easy to understand and dishes were eight to ten dollars. Our server Chet failed to bring us complementary bread like he said he would. Our pizza came, which was cheese and tomato something, and was hot and delicious. We mentioned the bread after we received the pizza (he didn't visit our table too often) and finally brang buttered toast. It was plain and unimpressive. The vinegar dip wasn't very good either. He offered dessert on a tray, we said ""no thanks"" and he said ""verry good choice"" like he was a robot or an actor running on a pre-written script. I think he was just an idiot in my honest opinion. I checked out the men's restroom before we left, it wasn't terrible but could be cleaner. They had paper towels via dispenser and liquid soap. The door pulled open with handle on the inside so I used my wet paper towel to open. While standing at the cash register waiting for someone to take our bill a girl walked up and said ""you guys about ready?"" Yes, we are standing here at the cash register, just about ready. Wait, ok now we are ready. ??? \r

Overall LA Dolce Vita has potential but still isn't perfect.
Pros: pizza is good
Cons: not romantic, contains loud college students
