GREAT little neighborhood place. Forget the American food items (hamburgers, etc.), and stick with the mediterranean/middle east selections. Soup selections are both warm, filling and delicious -- Lentil everyone recommends; but don't forget the other ""Douckua"" -- made of barley with meat and a yogurt cream base and seasoned by cardamon. Then, don't miss the other Appetizers -- ""Boorek"" is a little egg-roll like dish stuffed with meat, and Lahmim Beajin is sort of a mini-pizza (flat crisp pita dough with seasoned meat on top). For entrees, Shawarma and Kebobs are excellent -- huge plates. Don't expect any ambiance dining -- just a small place with a few tables (they do a lot of take-out/delivery business). However, service was very personal, friendly and extremely welcoming. Surprisingly, they even provided us with a couple of fine wine glasses. All-in-all, excellent and plentiful food, excellent service, Very Reasonale prices (filled up for 2 on $21, including tax & tip); and BYOB.
Pros: Lentil & Doukua Soups; Appetizers; Shawarma and Kebobs. Falafel. Cheap. BYOB.
Cons: No Ambiance; small place with a few tables. Metered street parking only.
