I took my dog to WGAH because they offered a package deal on tests and shots. I told them over the phone that my dog had been nauseated for a couple of days and was throwing up. When I arrived, I had to wait for 45 minutes because one of the receptionists crossed my name off the sign-in list and didn't call my name. When I was finally seen, the vet told me that my dog would have to wait two weeks to get his shots because he was nauseated and the shots might make him feel worse. No problem. But then when I went to pay, they billed me for all the tests separately, and I ended up paying more than the package deal cost. When I questioned them on this, they told me that I didn't get the package deal because my dog couldn't get his shots that day and that I would have to come back in two weeks and pay for his shots separately. This was totally insane logic. I said, ""So right now I'm paying MORE for FEWER services? Just because my dog couldn't get his shots today, I have to be billed separately and actually pay MORE for the services I received than if he were able to get his shots today?"" They said yes, and then told me I'd have to come back in two weeks and pay $50 or $60 extra to get my dog's shots. When I complained they handed me a complaint form and said it would take a week for someone to get back to me about it. This place has a totally evil corporate vibe, and I felt like my dog and I were in a factory: ""Get 'em in. Get 'em out."" Also, the receptionists are extremely rude and disorganized. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL. I've read many horror stories about this place. I warn anyone who cares about their pet not to go here.
Pros: vet and vet tech were friendly
Cons: tactless, rude, and disorganized reception staff; misleading advertising; factory feel
