This place has that comfortable feel of a local, mom and pop, ice cream shop... except it's a ""gelato"" shop. Tai, the owner, comes up with original flavors. He is always serving his proudly made gelato with a smile. The big fad nowadays are high concept gelato shops or Pinkberry clones but Scoops goes back to the basics by making the quality and flavor of the gelato the main reason to come back. \r

Minor trivia, the corner where scoops is located is the same corner where Turbo pop locked with the broom in the movie Breakin'. And to the idiot that said this place is in Koreatown, get it right, it's in East Hollywood. Reppin' the hood ya heard!!! \r
