I had heard a lot of buzz about the opening of Intelligentsia in Silver Lake. I finally got over to Sunset Junction one Friday night around 10pm, hoping for a refreshing respite from the typical stale/burnt taste of my local coffee chain. Next door, Cafe Stella was in full swing and the little covered patio outside the coffee shop was sparsely populated, with candles lit on every table. I got a cappuccino, which came out adorned in their signature ""latte art"" style in an actual coffee cup, not made out of paper. The coffee, the candle-lit patio, the Sunset Junction setting; everything was perfect! I loved the design and simple decor of the seating area, complete with red walls and blue and white tiled floors, and the baristas were very friendly and helpful. Inside they also sell beans by the bag as well as a nice selection of coffee makers and accessories. It was a great relaxing activity for a cold night and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for good coffee in L.A.!
Pros: Great Coffee, Great Ambiance!
Cons: Parking will probably be a problem.
