Horrible customer service 10/1/2007

We originally switched to Summit Disposal from Defenbaugh because Defenbaugh kept raising prices and Summit Disposal stated they wouldn't. The first thing they did was raise the price. Then, we noticed each week that there was garbage at the bottom of our can after they "emptied" it. Then, about a month ago we were contacted that they had broken the handle off our garbage can. We didn't think anything of it till we got home to see the can. The whole back side of the can was torn off so that the can could not be used any more. We contacted them and spoke with Teresa, the Office Manager and after a lot of haggling, they offered to pay for half of a new can. We also expressed our concerns about the trash still in our can and how we see them only lift bags out, not dump the can. She stated she would speak with the crew. For three more weeks we had the same problems and at this point there are things growing in the bottom of the can from all the things they left in it. Each week we would call and were told we would be contacted back. Finally we asked to speak with the owner because at this point we felt we should have a new can completely paid for and they needed to start emptying the trash. Teresa then stated that we could not speak with the owner because we had been contacted 4 different times about our can being too heavy. The funny thing about this is that during my original conversation with Teresa, she asked if they had ever contacted us about how heavy the can may be, I said no and she even said that looking at our record, they had never contacted us. So, in order to get around fixing a problem and keeping customers, the Owner and Office Manager would rather make up lies. I work in a customer service field as an office manager and I have never experienced such horrible customer service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! more
