The service rendered was EXTREMELY poor and noted the first time they came to clean our rental house. The subsequent cleanings were noticeably worse with bathrooms left dirty, bed undone, barely any dusting in bedrooms and trash left on front porch. Worst- on several occasions the electricity (several air conditioning units, fans and lights throughout the entire house) were left on. Since this was a summer home ? all the electricity ran for several days until we arrived for the weekend. \r

At end of summer, the owner of our summer rental went out of his way to write a letter stating what a poor cleaning job Summer Winds did. The owner had NO obligation to write this letter ? this was him kindly letting us know that we paid for very poor service. The letter stated that we were charged $150 to ""run the vacuum and nothing more"". When this was brought to Barbara Richard?s attention at Summer Winds her response was hostile & extremely unprofessional. We agreed that we would withhold payment for that last visit (payment was made via check and had not been cashed). Barbara Richards agreed & at this point we viewed the issue as resolved. After checking with our bank-we quickly realized Barbara did in fact cash our check. When we called Barbara Richard's back she indicated that she does not allow refunds but also refused to go back to the house and perform a proper cleaning because the complaint was not received within 48 hours. I should mention that we were not notified about the poor cleaning performance until we received the letter from the owner about 3 weeks after final cleaning. Barbara?s only solution was to suggest that the owner of the home call himself to express his unhappiness with the cleaning job; I found that solution completely unacceptable.\r

Barbara said there was nothing that could be done and then hung up the phone on me. Summer Winds is an embarrassment of a company and to call them unprofessional is a massive understatement. \r
