After visiting a few jewelry stores, my fiance and I went to the Galaxie Jewelers based on their great reviews on Citysearch. After meeting Kip Stodghill, we could not bring ourselves to go anywhere else. We discussed with Kip our idea for a one-of-a-kind ring. At no point did he ever attempt to push a pre-made ring. He said, "The only pressure I will put on you is to take your time and make sure you get exactly what you want." Other stores had spent a minute or less discussing what we wanted before trying to sell us something "similar." Kip made it clear that his goal was that my fiance would have her perfect dream ring. Without asking for a dime, Kip offered to order several sapphires (which we used for the center stone) for us to look at. When we came to look at them, we had actually already found one we liked and had purchased it. Rather than trying to find a reason why we should take our sapphire back and buy one of his, Kip told us he loved the stone and thought we had purchased it at a great price. We settled on the details of the design and asked Kip to begin making the ring. He made 3-D computer images of it to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. After that, he showed us the wax mold he had made to cast the ring to double-check that it was exactly what we had in mind. Then, he began making the ring. Throughout the process, communication was incredible. Kip graciously answered my many questions and made sure I knew the production status throughout. He even halted construction when we decided to change metals. When Kip called to tell me the ring was finished, I raced over and was completely blown away. I can truly say that I have never seen a more beautiful engagement ring. I formally proposed to my fiance two days later, and she absolutely loves her ring. People have actually stopped us to ask about it. The craftsmanship, personal service, and prices at the Galaxie Jewelers are second to none. I would not consider going anywhere else. Thanks Kip!
Pros: The Galaxie Jewelers is a beautiful little shop with fabulous custom jewelry, great prices, and personalized customer service.
