Can I give this 0 star? I was always curious to try out the Woodmark Spa. My husband and I got married at the Woodmark hotel, and knowing that I love going to spas, he booked a weekend stay at the Woodmark and a spa package for our one year anniversary. The Woodmark Spa is the WORSE SPA I have ever been to (and I go to various spa on the East Side frequently.) Here is why: Waiting rooms in traditional spas is a place where we get to relax & unwind before the massage began. It is part of the spa experience. Their waiting room.. is a hallway - one where their staff walks through frequently. During our 10 mins or so wait, there was a constant stream of staff walking pass us. I even saw a staff carry bags of grocery walking in to the waiting ?room?. There were no sense of tranquility in that space. The food left on the large table in the middle was a nice touch, but the chocolate covered strawberries needs to be kept on a cooling plate or something, because the chocolate covered strawberry I had was half melted, gooey and a terrible mess! There was also a limited choice of beverages. Tea is a common thing spas offered here. I see tea cups.. but no tea or hot water. Their waiting room is not a place where one can unwind and look forward to the massage. I was hoping that the actual massage experience would have been much better. I was disappointed. Before we even entered the room, I told my therapist that I was cold. (Probably from the draft in that waiting ?room?.) Once on the table, she didn?t do much to help me feel more warm or comfortable. Her massage techniques were not relaxing, maybe I was just too cold the whole time to even enjoy it. At one point, I have to stop her and tell her I was too cold. Nothing was done about that. So after 90 mins of freezing massage. We left, we paid, and feeling totally not relaxed. I gave this feedback to their front desk, and she simply said ?oh I am sorry? and continue to charge us and process us.
Pros: next door to the Woodmark Hotel
Cons: No atmosphere, terrible service
