I thought a facial would be great, I'd had a good massage there before and I loved the patio cafe. Sadly, the cafe is now closed to the public, which is really unfortunate because it was probably their only strength. When I arrived, I assumed they would give me a cushy robe to change into, like when I'd had the massage there, but no (I can't even remember the last time I had a $150 facial with fewer amenities!). I waited well past my appointment time and finally was greeted by Ingrid. Although she had a nice touch in terms of facial massage, all my warnings to her about what products my skin can and cannot handle were ignored. I have never had such an uncomfortable facial, EVER. Maybe I should have been firmer with her about the peel, but couldn't she tell what type of skin I have? I'm still red and inflamed, several days later. Has this place just gone down hill or was it never very good?
Pros: facial massage, ambience
Cons: bad facialist, wait time, no amenities
