the Canton Chef has recently reopened in its small slot next to Jason's Deli in Katy. From the outside it looks the same, still offers the cheapest lunch plate in town ($3.50 as of 1/1/07) and it has photos of its dishes in the front windows and above the order counter for the curious.
Pros: great food and selection, typical prices
Cons: can be a wait if you don't phone ahead
