I am not one who frequents hair salons. I usually do mine and my daughters hair myself. So for me to decide on a salon, I want one that will be reliable and able to do what I can't. I decided that taking my daughter to a salon could encourage growth and hair strength, so I began taking her to Willies every 2 weeks. On our third returning visit, the scheduled hair stylist was not there. After waiting for almost 40 minutes for her to arrive to work, and the staff trying to contact her, my daughter was switched to another stylist. It was more than a little disappointing being that I had explained to her how we wanted a salon that we could get to know and I was hoping to build up a trust with this salon. Her lack of interest in showing up that day discouraged me enough that we have not returned since---unprofessional. Also disappointing was the fact that she seemed geniunely interested in my daughter's hair initially. She wrote her name down in a book to record when her last visit was, when her last relaxer was, when she would need a conditioning treatment, etc. To not be there means she could not follow-through. I know people occasionally have unforseen things happen, but not even her manager knew where she was and we waited a very long time. I am now back to doing her hair myself again!
